Paytm Payments Bank enables FASTag payments at Patna Airport parking; offers hassle-free entry and exit from airport

India’s homegrown Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL), announced that it now enables convenient payments for car parking at the Airport Authority of India (AAI) authorized Patna Airport using FASTag. The bank has partnered with ASN, a parking management service provider, in order to curb congestion and queues at airport parking.

Using FASTag, car owners at Patna Airport will no longer be required to tender cash, empowering them with seamless and hassle-free travel. Paytm FASTags have gained immense popularity in India, due to seamless onboarding with minimum documentation, instant activation and unmatched customer care support.

With this, visitors and passengers will be able to use FASTag lanes for entry and exit without having to wait for the payment. As the vehicle passes the entry or exit, a sensor will read the radio-frequency identification (RFID) sticker on the vehicles following which the applicable parking charges will be automatically deducted from the user’s Paytm wallet or account linked with the FASTag at all FASTag-based parking lots.

Surinder Chawla, MD & CEO, Paytm Payments Bank said, “We are the largest issuer of FASTags in the country and are enabling seamless travel for our users through automatic toll and parking deduction from Paytm Wallet. With our partnership at Patna airport, people in the city can enjoy a hassle-free experience during entry and exit from the airport parking area. We believe this is a step forward in urban mobility.”

PPBL is the largest issuer of FASTags in the country and is also one of the largest acquirers of toll and parking plazas for the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) program, offering an interoperable nationwide toll and parking payment solution.
