CHITRANSHU MAHANT, CO-FOUNDER AND CEO, PRIMEBOOK
A strategic thinker and a visionary professional, Mr Chitranshu Mahant is the Co-founder and CEO of Primebook, a revolutionary Android laptop made in India for learners across age groups that brings an innovative and affordable tech experience. An intellectually gifted, Chitranshu aims to emphasize and adapt business practices on the principles of affordability, accessibility and quality by ensuring our product caters to the first job market in smaller cities, upskilling learners across age groups.
With over seven years of diversified experience, Chitranshu worked as head of sales at Smartivity Labs Pvt. Ltd, where he was responsible for setup a retail distribution network in 60+ cities and more than 1000 retail stores in 1.5 years. As part of his previous stints, Chitranshu has worked as a research associate in solid waste management at IIM Bangalore for BBMP.
An imaginative and innovative Chitranshu is a civil engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. During his educational journey, Chitranshu participated in and emulated the design of the Joban Line Arakawa Railway Bridge to analyze the stability features of a bridge principled on Warren Truss in I2 Technologies. His inquisitive mindset made him understand the need of innovation in marginalised sector and the best possible ways to deliver it.
Chitranshu observed a gap between affordable technology and learning, especially in lower-tier cities. He worked to fill that gap in the best possible way and visioned that innovation in education is about more than just technology. It is about how you can use technology to empower students to become lifelong learners who are agents of change. Primebook has strategically designed its laptops to cater to all the necessary needs of learners in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. With his path-breaking initiative PrimeOS, the operating system that is used in Primebook has been downloaded 3 Mn times organically in 140 countries and was Awarded as the “Best Android OS for PC”.
