The roundtable saw some thought provoking discussions on how the businesses have regained their lost momentum and optimised their overall performance with the adoption of business automation tools.

Himanshu, City Head, Hyderabad, CapitaLand, said “Reinventing our practices in digital times is the key essential for uninterrupted growth. In line with the new industry requirements, the real-estate sector has significantly evolved with digital offerings such as digitizing community programs, introducing AR tools and drone photography. The digital payments and automated invoicing facilities has also grown along with other services for smooth processing and easy digital monitoring.”

Rangacharyulu Komanduri, the COO of Olympus Motors, said “Post May 2020, the auto-industry witnessed a V-shaped recovery for car sales due to the decline in commercial commute. Augmented reality is used to showcase the car models and approx. 60 to 70% of the booking were without even a test-drive. Almost 70% of leads are generated online and video meetings have been conducted for any further assistance to the customers.”

Ravindra Modi, MD, Hyderabad Food Products, said “The food industry has stepped up its game during the pandemic with the adoption of digital technologies. Most of the food orders are placed online and usage of GPS tracking and digital invoicing have also gone up at a higher scale. This has led to a rise in the average productivity by 20-25% and a decline in the operational costs.

Dinesh Chandrasekar, CIO, Pactera Edge, said “With the rapid digital transformation, the enterprises have adopted automation and are learning the basics, and implementing it to help create an environment for maximum efficiency. The demand for Digital ERTs and Retail CPGs have gone up tremendously during the pandemic.”

Sridhar Reddy, MD at ICL said, “The out of the box thinking and our population were the key factors for various businesses to grow without any foreign demand or interventions. Most of businesses across sectors have revived with a focus towards the growth of specific set of customer demands.”
