Wavicle Data Solutions Expands Senior Leadership Team

Chicago-based Wavicle Data Solutions, a leading data analytics firm offering cloud migration services and data management consulting, announced it has hired four new leadership team members as it continues to advance its position as a high-growth innovator in the data management and data science space. The four hires include Patrick McDonald, Director of Data Science; Dave Abatangelo, Director of Data Visualization; Anthony Lempelius, Vice President of Sales; and Heidi Bonjean, Director of Marketing.

These hires are key to supporting Wavicle’s continued aggressive growth as the company’s customers increasingly lean on their data to make critical business decisions surrounding costs, supply chain, customer 360, and more. Expanding the sales and marketing operations and formalizing leadership around specific high-demand areas such as data science and data visualization are in a direct response to meeting the needs of customers and prospects.

Patrick McDonald, Director of Data Science, leads the strategic direction and formalization of Wavicle’s Data Science consulting services where he is responsible for developing and delivering advanced analytics solutions for Wavicle’s clients with a focus on AI, particularly as it relates to customer and operational analytics. McDonald has been delivering advanced analytics and data science solutions to some of the most notable global brands for nearly 25 years through various consulting roles. His work has been at the cutting edge of advanced analytics and data science in a variety of industries and includes innovations at brands such as Walmart, McDonald’s, Monsanto, Caterpillar, Apple, Tyson, and more. Prior to Wavicle, McDonald was driving client value through data science as Senior Manager of Applied Intelligence and Data Science at Accenture and as Chief Architect for Advanced Analytics at Clarity Insights.

Dave Abatangelo, Director of Data Visualization, leads the company’s data visualization and dashboard consulting services efforts. His team empowers clients with intuitive, targeted dashboards across traditional and modern business intelligence and data visualization technologies to drive real-time, operational actions that impact the bottom line. Before joining the team at Wavicle, Abatangelo was Director of Business Intelligence at EVRAZ North America where he delivered data and analytics to improve operational performance across business functions including manufacturing, research and development, quality assurance, finance, sales, information technology, procurement, accounting, and legal. Abatangelo also held strategic data management and business intelligence positions with Slalom, Oracle, and Allstate. Abatangelo holds an MBA in International Marketing and Finance from DePaul University.

 

Anthony Lempelius, as Vice President of Sales, is charged with building and enhancing sales processes, strengthening Wavicle’s strategic partner network, and defining go-to-market strategies for the company’s services, including industry solutions and technology accelerators. In addition to his sales role, Lempelius also plans to maintain visibility as a thought leader in the data management space promoting ideas and innovation in customer experience management and partnership ecosystems. Prior to joining Wavicle, Lempelius was a Channel Manager and a sales executive with Talend. He has also built and matured several technology sales organizations including those at Infor, Exact, and Razorysnc. He was also a founder and the president of Elite Ambition, a marketing and sales consulting firm specializing in digital platforms.

Heidi Bonjean, Director of Marketing, will lead Wavicle’s strategic marketing efforts including strengthening brand awareness, building a robust thought leadership and content program that highlights Wavicle’s deep technology expertise and industry knowledge, and creating and delivering new and innovative demand generation programs to help fuel company growth. Bonjean joins Wavicle with extensive B2B marketing experience across a range of industries, from market research and travel to technology distribution. Most recently, she led the external and internal global messaging strategy for RoomIt by CWT, a start-up division of CWT. Bonjean has an MBA in marketing management from DePaul University and a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Illinois.

The addition of these new team members builds on the company’s incredible momentum throughout 2019 and 2020 as it added several new Fortune 500 brands to its client roster covering the gamut of industries with an emphasis on healthcare, restaurant, hospitality, financial services, and consumer packaged goods. Wavicle’s trajectory was also honored this year with a second appearance on the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing companies in America and Crain’s Chicago Business’ Fast 50 list of fastest growing companies in Chicago.
