The Tamarind Group Opts Matrix For Unified Communications Solution

Tamarind Group

Matrix used its unique Cascading feature to connect all the devices with sequencing for central monitoring on TVs in the control room to reduce the overall solution cost.

Founded in Mombasa, the Tamarind Group owns and operates some of the most successful restaurants and leisure operations in Africa. Their prime focus is on carrying out the original mission of continually improving the quality and value of their services, developing excellent morale in their employees and maintaining superior social and environmental awareness. Tamarind has maintained standards of food and service which rank among the best in the world.

Overlooking Old Town of Mombasa, Tamarind Village is a deluxe accommodation that provides a “home away from home” coastal holiday in Kenya, offering fully-furnished one, two and three-bedroom apartments and all of the services one can expect from a hotel, such as room service, housekeeping, security, maintenance, and much more.

Challenges
The Tamarind Group has its remarkable presence across two locations in Kenya. Considering this, they required consistent connectivity and workforce collaboration within their two sites. The hotel required seamless Connectivity, Call Management features like accounting, budgeting and routing, extensive Hospitality features like Guest Request, Automated Voice Prompts, Reception Control and Monitoring, along with Managed Guest Check-Ins and Check-Outs.

Furthermore, they required a comprehensive and scalable solution that does not need a transformation in the coming years as their primary requirement. The Group needed a unified communication solution with a strong Built-in Front Desk Management and seamless integration to utilize the Property Management and Fire Alarm Systems.

Matrix used its unique Cascading feature to connect all the devices with sequencing for central monitoring on TVs in the control room to reduce the overall solution cost. Also, we provided 4-months scheduled backup of all cameras configured centrally for storing all the streams. Moreover, we completed the entire installation within 20 days with the help of highly skilled manpower. Being an Indian brand, efficient pre-sales and post-sales support was already a part of the solution.
