From your perspective, what are the key differences between the cybersecurity landscapes of India and North America in terms of threats, compliance, and maturity?

The cybersecurity landscapes of India and North America differ in threats, compliance, and maturity. North America faces sophisticated threats from nation-state actors and ransomware, with strict compliance frameworks like NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS. The region has a mature cybersecurity ecosystem, with advanced threat detection and incident response systems in place.

In contrast, India faces a mix of traditional cybercrime and emerging nation-state threats, with a growing focus on securing digital payments, government infrastructure, and rapidly expanding cloud adoption. Compliance is evolving, with regulations like CERT-In guidelines and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) gaining traction. While cybersecurity awareness and investments are increasing, many organizations are still in the process of maturing their security operations, often prioritizing reactive rather than proactive defense measures.

Despite these differences, both regions are witnessing a rise in AI-driven threats, cloud security challenges, and a critical need for skilled cybersecurity professionals, making global collaboration and intelligence sharing more important than ever.

What are the biggest cybersecurity challenges enterprises face today, and how should they adapt to stay resilient?

Enterprises today face several critical cybersecurity challenges, including ransomware attacks, insider threats, and sophisticated supply chain vulnerabilities. The rapid adoption of cloud technologies and the rise of remote work have expanded attack surfaces, making it harder to manage and secure networks. The big challenge isn’t just the threats themselves, but the shortage of skilled people and the complexity of tools.

To stay resilient, enterprises should adopt a proactive security posture, emphasizing continuous monitoring, incident response planning, and advanced threat detection. They need to simplify — focus on visibility, automation, partnerships that bring real expertise, and foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness among employees. Additionally, enterprises should invest in cyber resilience by ensuring that security strategies are flexible enough to recover from potential breaches and minimize impact. Regular security assessments and collaboration with trusted MSSPs can further help organizations stay ahead of emerging threats.

How is Eventus Security leveraging AI, automation, and advanced security operations platforms to strengthen cyber defense?

Eventus Security leverages AI, automation, and advanced security operations platforms to enhance cyber defense by improving threat detection, response times, and overall efficiency. AI-driven tools help identify anomalies and patterns in real-time, enabling rapid identification of emerging threats and reducing the workload on security teams. Automation is used to streamline routine tasks, like incident triage and vulnerability management, ensuring faster response times and fewer human errors.

The company also integrates next-gen security platforms that use advanced analytics and machine learning to correlate large volumes of data across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments. This holistic approach allows Eventus Security to anticipate and neutralize potential threats before they escalate, providing clients with continuous protection and a proactive security posture.

We’ve made significant investments in building a modern security stack that blends the best of human expertise with automation and AI. Automation helps us respond quickly, but our strength lies in balancing speed with accuracy. Our goal is to ensure clients are not just reacting to alerts, but actually gaining insight into their evolving risk landscape.

With cyber threats growing more sophisticated, do you think enterprises are investing enough in proactive defense rather than reactive responses?

While many enterprises are increasing their cybersecurity investments, there is still a tendency to focus more on reactive responses rather than proactive defense. Although organizations are improving incident response capabilities and investing in detection tools, the rapid evolution of cyber threats, such as APTs and ransomware attacks, demands a shift toward proactive strategies.

Proactive defense, such as threat hunting, red teaming, and behavioral analytics, is essential for identifying vulnerabilities before they are exploited. However, many enterprises still prioritize reactive measures like incident containment and post-breach remediation, which often come too late to prevent significant damage. To stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated attacks, enterprises must invest more in preventive measures, AI-driven threat intelligence, and continuous monitoring to not only defend against current threats but also anticipate and mitigate emerging risks.

Zero Trust is now a key cybersecurity principle. How do you see organizations effectively implementing it in real-world scenarios?

Implementing Zero Trust effectively requires a phased approach, starting with defining trusted users, devices, and applications based on least privilege access. Organizations should adopt strong identity and access management (IAM) practices, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and granular access controls. Network segmentation helps limit the impact of potential breaches, while continuous monitoring enables real-time detection of abnormal activities. Additionally, using automated policy enforcement ensures dynamic, swift responses to access violations. By combining AI-driven analytics, strong identity management, and dynamic access controls, organizations can effectively implement Zero Trust to minimize risks and strengthen security.

What advice would you give to enterprises looking to build a future-ready cybersecurity strategy in today’s digital-first world?

Enterprises looking to build a future-ready cybersecurity strategy should start by recognizing that cybersecurity is no longer just a support function—it’s a core component of the digital strategy. Align your security approach with business goals, not just your IT stack. Focus on proactivity, adaptability, and integration, ensuring that your security strategy can evolve alongside the ever-changing threat landscape.

Invest in the right people, processes, and platforms, and create a culture of security where everyone is responsible for safeguarding the organization. Adopt a zero-trust model, prioritize cloud security, and leverage AI-driven threat detection, continuous monitoring, and automation for faster, more efficient responses to emerging threats.

Don’t hesitate to partner with experts who can bring scale & insight and embrace threat intelligence to stay ahead of adversaries. Lastly, stay agile—the threats will continue to evolve, and your strategy should be just as dynamic, ensuring that your enterprise remains resilient in a digital-first world.
