PTC launches Centre of Excellence at NMIT Bengaluru

PTC  announced the opening of a Center of Excellence (CoE) located at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) Bengaluru, Karnataka. The facility has been launched in partnership with Dysmech Competency Services (DCS) Pvt. Ltd. It is designed to help engineering students build and experience cutting edge industrial solutions in the Aerospace industry.

The Center of Excellence in Aerospace Engineering and Internet of Things was inaugurated by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Earth Sciences, Science & Technology, Environment, Forests and Climate Change. The CoE will primarily provide students with skills and proficiency as sought by the industry and exposure to real-time projects. It has been equipped Aerospace Labs for Flight Physics, Aircraft Systems, Product Design and IoT Labs on Smart Manufacturing, Smart City and Reality Labs.

Kalyan Sridhar, Country Manager, PTC India said, “In line with our commitment to promote the Skill India initiative, we have partnered with NMIT to help train engineering students in new technologies and make them future ready. We look forward to a long-term relationship that leverages the expertise and learnings of PTC to build the foundations for accelerated IoT adoption in India”

Through the Centre of Excellence, engineering students across the state have access to the skills and training to help them build successful technology careers. This partnership provides us the opportunity to leverage PTC’s Thingworx platform with the objective of having students experience smart, connected IoT solutions.” said H C Nagaraj Principal of NMIT.

Speaking on the launch of the CoE, Rahul Naidu  of DCS said “It is an institute with industry standard equipment, technology and trainers. Engineering graduates will be given industry experience from the third semester would have gained significant experience by the time they graduate. They will be trained with a focus on reducing the efforts of recruiting organisations by almost one year.”
