NETGEAR Introduces Wi-Fi 6E with New Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router at CES 2021

NETGEAR Nighthawk RAXE500

NETGEAR has announced, during the historic, virtually-hosted CES 2021, the introduction of the world’s first all-purpose Wi-Fi 6E router, the Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-band Wi-Fi router. Promised to elevate the Wi-Fi experience by providing speeds up to 10.8Gbps 1, this latest addition to the Nighthawk line of performance routers ushers in a new era of fast connectivity on the new 6Ghz band, free of interference and congestion.

A CES 2021 Innovations Award Honoree, the Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-band Wi-Fi Router is designed to provide the fastest Wi-Fi speed possible with higher-capacity, lower latency, and the latest WPA3 security. With cutting-edge technology, the new Wi-Fi 6E router from NETGEAR expands Wi-Fi for more capability, capacity, and experiences for a new world of uninterrupted connectivity while simultaneously conducting distance learning, video conferencing, and 4K/8K video streaming. With the new 6GHz band, this Nighthawk performance router delivers faster speeds, smoother streaming, less interference, and improved latency for devices and Wi-Fi-hungry applications for an overall enhanced experience.

Apart from the new Nighthawk RAXE500, NETGEAR also introduced two new mobile products: the Industry’s first Wi-Fi 6 mobile wireless router – the Nighthawk® 4G LTE Wi-Fi 6 Router (LAX20)- and the NETGEAR® 4G LTE Modem (LM1200).

The Nighthawk LAX20 router supports advanced Wi-Fi 6 networking technology delivering 1.8Gbps of high-performance Wi-Fi and improved network capacity to handle a greater number of connected devices on the home network. Combined with a 4G LTE modem for instances where traditional wired internet options are not available or reliable, the Nighthawk LAX20 router provides an alternate mobile internet connectivity option. The new router also serves as an ideal solution for those who need internet access for limited time frames for instances such as a vacation home or short-term rentals.

The NETGEAR LM1200 modem is an affordable and reliable internet connection via the 4G LTE network when faced with slow internet options (DSL) or the lack of fixed-line broadband service. The latest 4G LTE modem from NETGEAR is certified to work with AT&T and T-Mobile at launch. Get connected easily to strong and reliable internet using a 4G SIM on the LM1200 and connect to a Wi-Fi Router or Mesh solution for internet connectivity throughout your home.

Speaking on the occasion, Marthesh Nagendra, Country Manager India, ME & SAARC, NETGEAR commented, “At NETGEAR our aim is to provide cutting edge technologies that enable people to work, learn, stream and game more effectively in a connected world. We are pleased to announce various Wi-Fi tools and solutions at CES this year that would provide connectivity for households and businesses regardless of where they may be located.”

During the event, NETGEAR also showcased the newly announced WAX214 and WAX218 wall/ceiling mount Wi-Fi 6 Access Points, expanding the Business Essentials line of powerful, easy-to-deploy, and affordable business networking products. The WAX214 and WAX218 provide today’s home office workers, micro businesses and small retail owners with a cost-effective solution to typical wireless networking challenges. Problems such as spotty connectivity, congestion due to limited bandwidth, dropped connections; low speed, complex installation, and lack of security are all solved thanks to the advanced technology built into the WAX214 and WAX218. These Wi-Fi Access Points deliver what small business owners and working professionals need most to improve the performance and reliability of their work-from-home network.

“We are also thrilled to announce the industry’s first all-purpose Wi-Fi 6E router which lets you enjoy ultra-fast speeds, smooth streaming, and lower latency for your 4K/8K streaming, AR/VR gaming, and video-conferencing. The Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-band Wi-Fi Router will capitalize on the available bandwidth afforded by the new 6Ghz channel, delivering an increase in speed and capacity that has never been experienced up until this moment”, added Nagendra

NETGEAR also announced the latest version of its award-winning Remote Cloud management solution, NETGEAR Insight. The new NETGEAR Insight version 6.0 not only enhances customers’ network visibility, but it also offers a clear visual view of wired and wireless networks through simple yet insightful topology maps and graphs. Additionally, with the new Insight Topology function, SMBs can organize wired and wireless networks in a clear and concise network map that enables Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and network administrators to gain unprecedented visibility and troubleshooting capabilities into the structure and status of the networks they manage.
