LG announcing its contribution under ‘KarSalaam- A CSR initiative’.

LG Electronics celebrates this Independence Day, by announcing its contribution under ‘KarSalaam- A CSR initiative’. Under the aegis of this initiative, LG Electronics will donate One crore to Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF) under Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat (KSB SECTT), a nodal organization of the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence. AFFDF is dedicated to welfare of war widows, children of martyr’s, war
disabled soldiers & Ex-servicemen.

Kar Salaam initiative was started 3 years ago by LG Electronics, dedicated to the soldiers of India. Through the initiative, LG Electronics endeavored to salute the soldier’s spirit of generous contribution and service towards the nation.

Commenting on the initiative, Young Lak Kim-MD-LG Electronics India said, “Through this initiative, we at LG Electronics pledge to stand in gratitude with the Indian Armed Forces for assuring a fearless and safe life for us, while protecting our borders. By contributing to Armed Forces Flag Day fund we contribute towards the
welfare of the dependents of our brave martyrs & their families. This is a small step on behalf of LG Electronics, this Independence Day, saluting the brave armed forces of India.”

Captain (IN) Rakesh Shukla, Officiating Secretary, KSB said “The Defence forces continue to serve the nation with their undying spirit of duty. Our aim is to focus on the welfare of widows, children, disabled and sick ex-servicemen of the Indian Armed Forces. We are thankful to brands like LG Electronics for extending this generous support. Every effort counts and we would urge more corporates to come forward and join the cause.”
