Today, cybersecurity is no longer just a technical necessity but a critical pillar for business continuity and growth. Leading this charge is Eventus Security, which has emerged as a key player in safeguarding organizations against ever-increasing cyber threats. At the heart of this mission is Manish Chasta, Co-founder and CTO of Eventus Security. In this exclusive interview to SmartStateIndia, Manish delves into Eventus Security’s core vision, its strategic expansion into global markets, and how the company continues to innovate in the face of emerging cybersecurity challenges. He also shares insights into the evolving role of AI and automation in cybersecurity, the importance of human expertise, and the growing significance of insider threat mitigation.

Eventus Security emphasizes innovation and protection. How do you ensure this vision is consistently reflected in your services and client engagements?

At Eventus Security, our focus on innovation and protection is deeply embedded in every service we deliver. Central to this is Eventus Threat Labs and our proprietary Eventus Platform, which provide unified visibility and protection against evolving cyber threats. These capabilities ensure we stay ahead of attackers by constantly refining our tools and techniques, grounded in rigorous R&D and real-world insights.

Through Managed XDR, SOC as a Service, and other offerings, we continuously adapt our approach, using AI, automation, and threat intelligence to provide clients with seamless protection. By aligning our strategies to the latest trends and customer needs, we ensure that our services remain at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation.

We handle multi terabytes of data daily, drawn from a wide range of clients, to conduct comprehensive analysis and security monitoring. With more than 250+ integrated devices across diverse infrastructures, our solutions are tailored to meet the unique demands of each environment. Our threat detection is powered by 2400+ custom rules and more than 400+ advanced correlation use-cases, designed to pinpoint complex attack vectors.

How has Eventus Security’s presence in Southeast Asia and the Middle East influenced your growth strategy and market approach?

Our success in India laid a strong foundation, and expanding into Southeast Asia and the Middle East has unlocked significant opportunities for exponential growth. Establishing a presence in these regions has given us valuable insights into the unique cybersecurity challenges they face, from complex regulatory requirements to evolving threat landscapes. This deeper understanding allows us to localize our services and leverage regional threat intelligence to offer more tailored solutions.

We’ve adopted an aggressive go-to-market strategy, particularly in the Middle East. To better serve our customers, we are expanding our team in Saudi Arabia(KSA) and have established a dedicated SOC centre there. With substantial investments and increasing market traction, we’re poised for significant growth in both revenue and market share.

Our approach is focused on delivering scalable, adaptable cybersecurity solutions that cater to businesses of all sizes, fostering trust and driving expansion across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.”

Can you elaborate on how Eventus leverages Managed XDR to counter emerging cybersecurity threats? What unique advantages does your solution provide?

Our Managed XDR (Extended Detection and Response) platform is designed to detect and mitigate sophisticated threats across the enterprise environment. By integrating data from multiple security layers—such as endpoint, network, and cloud—we provide real-time analysis and actionable insights to counter complex attacks. One of the unique advantages of our solution is the use of AI and machine learning to continuously refine detection capabilities and automate responses, minimizing both detection and response times. Additionally, our threat intelligence-driven approach enhances proactive defense against zero-day threats.

What role does your Cyber Defence Center in Ahmedabad play in giving Eventus Security a global edge, and how does it contribute to your service excellence?

The Cyber Defence Center (CDC) in Ahmedabad is a key pillar of our global operations. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies and staffed by over 150 cybersecurity professionals, the CDC provides 24/7 threat monitoring, detection, and response for clients around the world. It serves as the nerve center for our SOC as a Service, where our experts manage threat hunting, incident response, and vulnerability management, all underpinned by automation and AI-driven tools. This constant vigilance ensures that we can offer unparalleled service excellence, ensuring our clients are protected from cyber threats in real-time, regardless of their location.

With AI and automation playing a growing role in cybersecurity, how do you see these technologies evolving within Eventus’ SOC as a Service offering?

AI and automation are already pivotal to our SOC as a Service, and we see them continuing to evolve in terms of predictive analytics and autonomous threat response. As cyber threats become more sophisticated, our AI models are continuously learning and adapting to new patterns, enabling us to detect even zero-day threats with greater accuracy. Automation allows us to handle routine tasks and initial threat responses at scale, freeing up our experts to focus on more complex incidents. In the future, we anticipate deeper integration of AI-driven decision-making, further enhancing response times and precision in threat mitigation.

Insider threats pose a significant challenge for organizations. How does Eventus Security help clients identify and mitigate these risks effectively?

Insider threats are particularly challenging because they often bypass traditional security measures. At Eventus Security, we address this with a specialized approach using advanced behavioral analytics and machine learning to continuously monitor for unusual activities that could signal malicious or unintentional insider actions. We enhance this with contextual correlation and customized tagging, enabling us to prioritize risks based on their criticality, ensuring a more tailored, risk-centric response. Combined with our incident readiness and response services, this approach empowers organizations to swiftly detect, investigate, and mitigate insider threats before they can escalate.

What emerging cybersecurity trends do you believe will have the most significant impact on the industry, and how is Eventus preparing for them?

The rise of AI-driven cyberattacks, increased adoption of zero-trust architectures, and the growing importance of cloud security are trends that will shape the future of cybersecurity. At Eventus, we are preparing by enhancing our AI capabilities to anticipate and counter sophisticated attacks, while also integrating zero-trust principles into our service offerings. We’re also heavily investing in cloud security technologies to support our clients’ digital transformation journeys. Additionally, we’re focusing on expanding our threat intelligence capabilities, ensuring that we stay ahead of emerging threats across the globe.

What exciting new initiatives or expansions are on the horizon for Eventus Security?

At Eventus Security, we’re excited about our ambitious global expansion plans, extending into new markets like Africa and the USA through a partner-centric model. This approach allows us to collaborate with trusted local partners, ensuring our services are delivered with regional expertise and precision. By onboarding partners in key regions such as India, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Middle East, we’re enhancing our ability to serve customers in these high-growth markets.

One of the key enablers of this expansion is our Eventus Platform, which is designed as a multi-tier solution. This empowers our partners to rapidly scale their SOC-as-a-Service (SOCaaS) offerings and provide a seamless cybersecurity experience to their customers. Through our MSSP program, partners can leverage our full suite of cybersecurity services, including threat detection, incident response, and proactive threat intelligence.

This partner-driven approach accelerates the availability of our advanced cybersecurity solutions to businesses globally, reflecting our commitment to innovation and growth.

What advice would you offer to young professionals aspiring to build a career in cybersecurity, especially in leadership and strategic roles?

Cybersecurity is a field that demands both technical expertise and strategic insight. Our advice to young professionals is to focus on continuous learning, stay updated on the latest technologies, and develop a deep understanding of threat landscapes. Gaining hands-on experience in real-world scenarios is crucial to building a strong foundation. For those aspiring to leadership roles, it’s equally important to develop strong communication skills and a strategic mindset. Leading in cybersecurity goes beyond technical knowledge; it’s about understanding business risks and aligning security initiatives with broader organizational goals.
